The numbers are expressive: 22.5 million refugees around the world. In Brazil, there are over 86.000 refugees. Requests for refugee status have increased by 2,868%, from 966 in 2010 to 28,670 in 2016.
Project Goals:
1. To promote and encourage the creation, development and dissemination of values, ideas, proposals and content focused on understanding the problems refugees face around the world, and especially in Brazil, thereby fighting prejudice and fostering the process of welcoming “outsiders” into our society.
2. To develop and implement concrete actions that ensure better living conditions and greater dignity for underprivileged people with refugee status or asylum seekers, such as helping them find opportunities for employment or to start new businesses that will allow them not just to survive, but have guaranteed access to housing and food for themselves and their families.
